Ok, I got 3 DTivos, all zippered and running some flavor of 6.2. Recently I noticed a strange problem with MRV - when I transfer shows from one of them , only X minutes of the show gets transfered and then it just sits there, showing transfer in progress, but no actual transfer is done past that point.
My first thought was that something is flaky with network connection, but after some messing with it, number of restarts, etc and attempts to transfer same shows to third tivo - I notice that it always transfers exactly same amount of the show before "freezing" up. So now my lead suspect is the drive in the source unit. I am guessing it can read some of the streams that make up a show but not others, which makes sense and I do see some drive errors in the logs to confirm it. Except the one thing that confuses me is that the unit can play back the show locally just fine. Going to try TyTool next, see if I can get the recording off before I replace the drive.
Meanwhile, anyone run into this issue before? Any thoughts or ideas on how to manage to keep the recordings? Any other thoughts?
