I have Lifetime dvr. I know it is tied to the directv account. If I cancel my service is there a market for selling The lifetime without a dvr?

I wish to keep My Directivos with lots of stuff to watch.

I am thinking it would be a major hassle to do this and not worth the 50-100 that The lifetime would be valued if it were still tied to the machine.

Why are you wanting to do this - are you dumping D* for another provider, or just dumping the Tivo? You DO realize the lifetime WILL still work on the non-Tivo DVR's, such as the HR20/21's.

But no, it's ONLY tied to YOUR account - NOT the box. No way to "untie" it, sorry.
You just have to religate yourself to all the money you DID save after the liftetime paid for itself.

You have to get in contact with DirecTV first but the owner of lifetime service must complete close there account and transfer lifetime to another account. It is very hard to find a CSR that knows how to do it but it can be done.

That is what I thought.

I am considering Lending it to someone instead of selling. However if I lend it it may be hard to get back. (Hello Judge Judy
