View Full Version : Channel list stops at 23 unless manually entered, guide broken when 23 on screen

I looked through the list and could nto find this anywhere... I'm hoping it's not just me.

When I go to settings->Channel->Channel list, the list of channels only goes to 23 if I scroll through with the down-arrow or page down. If I type in 24, it continues on for 24 through the end.

If I open the guide and enter "25" then go up one, I see two channel 23s (identical, "TRUTV" channels), but it will not go lower. Hitting the up array just gets a normal "boop" with no change and the page up gets an error sound. If I enter 22, it goes to 22 (TOON) and displays the schedule for 22... but if I move it off the 22 up or down one, nothing on the screen at the tim (channels 16 to 23), including 22, shows any scheduled information. The main screen says "To be announced" and the right hand side of the screen is empty. If I enter any of these channels directly, the schedule comes up for that channel -- but if I go up or down, it disappears again. If I page up (to lower channels) so that 23 is off the scren, everything looks good for all those channels. I cannot page down (to higher channels) past 23. I have to enter a higher channel directly, then I can page up and down as normal... as long as 23 is not on the screen.

If I use the grid guide, the listing do notdisappear... but I cannot advance past 23 using page down or the arrows. It acts like 23 is the last channel -- unless I manually enter 24 or higher.

I have tried removing 23 -- and the guide works without it. But I'd like to receive that channel.

Has anyone seen this (or something like it) and come up with a fix?

Is this a new setup that has never worked? Or is it an old setup that used to work, but now doesn't?

try rebooting the tivo (pull plug, wait 20 secs, plug back in).

This just started happening this week. I've done a full reset with no luck. I hate to clear everything, but that might be what I need to do.

Repeat guided set up? Doesn't lose recordings.

CDE will probably require re-pairing cable cards if used.

Finally got it figured out. Had to remove the channel from the channel list, then completely reboot (power down). When it came up, it was already back in the list and working. I had never removed it then powered down before... if it was powered down with the channel in the list, it just came back up broken.

Looks fine now.

Yes, I believe CDE will require re-pairing the cards.
