I've had the freezing TiVo Series 3 problems and TiVo support says it is a software issue with no way to get on a priority list for the new upgrade.

However, my TiVo man freezes in magenta pink, turquoise and other pastel colors rather than his true colors.

Hard drive? Software?

I also have had it work by removing the Cox cable connection, but only for a short while -- originally for an evening, then a few seconds, then gave up trying.

Suggestions?

Had the same problem also but it only happened once I have since swapped that tivo, If anyone else can chime in I am not sure if that graphic is generated via the tivo software or a hardware chip.

I saw this same thing yesterday on my THD ... the whole screen was a magenta tint and the box was frozen. I had to pull the plug.

Barbeedollthat's a symptom of an hdmi cable not being fully seated or at least one of the three component cable rca connectors not being fully seated.

I don't think my freeze was caused by a loose cable.
