Hi All,
I noticed on my new Tivo HD that I can specify the quality level that is recorded for a given Wishlist. The options go something like standard, medium, high and best. I did some searching and it looks like this feature is for analog broadcasts and not digital cable. Correct?
My hope was that it would prefer HD vs SD if both were being broadcast and I selected best quality. Is this incorrect?
Thank you.

Yes ... digital channels are recorded bit-for-bit, so there's no "quality" setting.

The only way to get a WishList to prefer HD is to either use the HD filter tag, or remove the analog channels from your "Channels I Receive List." Otherwise, if a show is being broadcast at the same time on an analog and digital channel, the TiVo will "prefer" the lower-numbered channel.
Or, create two WishLists: one with the HD tag and one without. Then put the the HD one as a higher priority.

Very helpful. Thank you.
