PC repeatedly downloads Photos 2.0

Everything works just fine with Tivo Desktop 2.6.1, but my PC repeatedly downloads Photos 2.0 whenever it reboots. Not every time, but it HAS downloaded MANY times over the past few weeks. I can't remember if this behavior started when I upgraded to 2.6 or 2.6.1. Not a big deal since it is quite fast, but I was just wondering if any others have seen this.

Yea, I noticed that too. It didn't do it with 2.5 but with the 2.6 I noticed that when I reboot the system or if I turn off the tivo server and then turn the tivo server back on, the Photo 2.0 downloads again. I figured they must have changed how photo 2.0 works so every time the tivo server starts, it has to re-download the photo 2.0.

I noticed they changed the base download location for 2.6.1 of the jars in the jnlp file

One thing you can try is unchecking the 2.0 app in desktop and stopping the server, then in your JAVA_HOME\bin directory run the javaws.exe. Then find all instances of the TiVo Photos 2.0 application and right click and remove the application. Then go back to desktop and recheck the photos 2.0 and resume the server. It will of course install again, but check to see if another restart doesn't reinstall it.
