Remote Code Question

Until recently, both my Plasma TV and Receiver were made by Panasonic, so there was one code to turn both units off and on with the single power on-off button on the remote.

Now I have a Yamaha receiver and a new Panasonic Plasma and am looking for the right code to be able to turn both units off with the the on-off button as well as control the volume on the Yamaha receiver.

Where should I be looking to do this?

Sorry to say you won't be able too.

The "TV Power" button on the remote will only do ONE code. Either you can turn your Yamaha receiver on/off, or your Panasonic TV.

The Yamaha receiver has a different on/off code than does your panasonic TV. Since the remote is only capable of sending only ONE code. It can either be your receiver or your TV but not both.

Huh? Tivo remotes can send two codes for power. Just enter the code for the TV first then enter the code for the receiver.
