Hi,
We have quite a few programs that have season passes on them and recently the Tivo has decided not to record some of them.
We have tried deleting them and re installing the season passes, it finds the episodes but does not set the recording link set to the criteria set.
I have powered down the unit and re powered it but it still has this problem.
Some work some dont.
The unit does have a turbo card in it and upgraded drives.
Any ideas or recommendations?
Thanks,
DAve.

In the 'To Do' list at the top - is a 'History' showing why recordings will not record.
Does it say anything about those you require?

Hi,
I idnt even know that option was on there.
Just been having a look through it but the trouble now is my wife has palyed around some much with season passes and setting them up manually that I think the tivo is now confused.
Is there a way of reseting it all?
I will have to right down all the season pass programs before hand so I know what she wants to record.

If you your 'wishlists' rather than 'season passes' - it will pick the programme up from any channel rather than just the one with the SP - and it doesn't cause a problem if the ids are changed.

But on the other hand a Wishlist does pick up all the repeat showings of a program of that name on other channels as well.
If one could have wishlists that would only operate on specified channels then that would be ideal.

Hi
I have had Tivo since it was first introduced into the UK and love it. I have upgraded it several times with disks and cachecards. But recently think it is getting a bit old and senile. Strange things seem to be happening.
One of the changes is as follows.
This is just an example of the confusion and not sure how to set things any more.
I have the following:-
1. Doctors (101 BBC1LDN)
2. Star Trek: Voyager (119 VIRG1)
3. Star Trek: Voyager (120 VIRGP1)
...
47 Deal or No Deal (104 C4)
During the week the TV schedule has
Doctors on at 1.45pm on BBC1 LDN
Star Trek Voyager on as follows:-
Today 2pm on VIRG1
Today 3pm on VIRGP1
Tomorrow 9am on VIRG1
Tomorrow 10am on VIRGP1
Deal or No Deal on at 4.15 on C4
Tivo To Do List has:-
1.45pm Doctors
4.15pm Deal or No Deal
and does not have Voyager until tomorrow
9.00am Star Trek Voyager
It used to record the 3pm VIRGP1 showing on Voyager. Now it doesn't.
There is nothing recording in that time slot to stop it.
When I view the 'Recording History' it says "Won't Record" and the reason is because there is another showing within the 28 days.
This is correct, there is, but it is later.
Is it looking at the earlier season pass? Why the change in function?
Tivo used to record the 3pm VIRGP1
Why isn't it doing what it used to and show
1.45pm Doctors
3.00pm Star Trek Voyager
4.15pm Deal or No Deal
and then record something else in the morning in the 9am slot.
Much Thanks
Colin

It is behaving as I'd expect. You have the VIRG1 Season Pass as higher priority, so that is what is used in preference. The TiVo will only use the lower priority VIRGP1 Season Pass if it can't record the episode on VIRG1.

Thanks for the reply and yes, I see what you are saying but that isn't how it has been behaving in the past.
Now, I additionally have the following:-
1. Doctors (101 BBC1LDN)
2. Star Trek: Voyager (119 VIRG1)
3. Star Trek: Voyager (120 VIRGP1)
4. Coronation Street (ITV1LON)
5. Coronation Street (ITV2)
6. Emmerdale (ITV1LON)
7. Emmerdale (ITV2)
My ToDo List shows
1900 - Emmerdale (ITV1LON)
1930 - Hole in the Wall: Episode 2 (WATCHUK)
2000 - Hole in the Wall: Episode 1 (WATCHP1)
etc until
2330 - Coronation Street Episode 431 (ITV2)
and on and on until Mon of next week at
0600 - Coronation Street Episode 430 (ITV2)
The program 'Hole in the Wall' is not a Season Pass, it's seems to be a 'Suggestion'.
It should be getting the two Corrie episodes
1930 Episode 430
2030 Episode 431
At 2030 on Fri when Corrie Episode 431 is broadcast, my Tivo will be recording nothing.
I've tried moving the season passes order to get it to rethink, I've rebooted. I've deleted the season passes and put them back but no joy.
I'm confused.
Thanks
Colin
