I've done a search and see that one can use Parallels on an IntelMac to upgrade a internal drive on a S3. In those posts they are using a USB-SATA adapter. According to the post Parallels only supports USB 1.1 (seems strange) and would take forever to transfer the material from old drive to new.

Since a MacPro (desktop) has multiple internal SATA connectors I can attach both drives (Tivo old and new) into the MacPro.

Question is will Parallels running XP see the SATA drive attached to the Mac via SATA. I know I can run boot camp but I'm running Tiger and one needs Leopard for Boot Camp now.

Any help appreciated
