Interlace flicker on Tivo interface

I'm referring to the white borders on the black cursor bar, which are just the right thickness to fall between fields in an interlaced picture (I'm still scraping my knuckles along in CRT land here ;) ).

I'm sure I remember someone posting a modified file or something that could fix this, but now I've hacked my Tivo I can't find the post anywhere. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's not super-annoying, but it would be cool to sort it out.
