I intend using two SKY Digi boxes in the same room (SKY MultiRoom option) - one dedicated for use by my TiVo.

Does anyone have an elegant and foolproof way of covering the TiVo wand and IR sensor on the first box so that it ignores commands from the remote control intended for the other box (and similarly commands from the wand don't get seen by the second box).

I once tried something very similar with two FreeView boxes and no matter what I did IR commands always seemed to get past whatever cardboard/tape effort I constructed.

Gaffer tape is your friend! make sure the front blaster on the TiVo is disabled.

You could upgrade one box to Sky+ (uses different IR codes).

Or use the pacelink rf2

BTW, make sure you get the TP power so you can use it later with their wizpin if required later.

Thick black tape then will be required over that sky boxes IR window.

BTW, make sure that box is bright out of standby with the power button on it or RGB / Widescreen switching will not work.
