As a new member of this board, I wanted to start my first thread off in the right direction.

As many people here in Massachusetts are waiting and getting fed up with comcast, I too am not very pleased with their services. So as a matter of drilling down for some information regarding any new software update, I spoke to a comcast rep. While some of the information here is already well known, I thought it would a nice post anyhow. Here is a transcript with the comcast tech:

No, I'm sorry, there would be no fix for this. The weather channel in HD should be broadcasting in HD and not standard digital.

It appears that they do know about the speed issue, and it is going to be addressed in the next update whenever it is... Also don't forget to ask for a credit on service as why should we pay for a broken service? Lastly, the bandwidth answer was interesting too to say the least.
