I think this is my first post, but I've been a lurker for a while and have been using D* Tivo's for several years. I've run into a problem that's got me stumped and I hope someone here can help.
I recently replaced an old non-dvr RCA receiver in the bedroom with my original SD-DVR40. Not a fancy setup at all, just the DVR plugged into the TV vith S-Video and R/L audio cables. Worked fine with the RCA, but with DVR, the audio is a garbled-hissy mess. I've tried all combinations of inputs/outputs, swapped cables, even ran the audio through a VCR and all produced the same garbled-hissy audio. The audio worked fine on the other TV and works fine if run through the stereo. This is not like a grounding hum and since the old RCA receiver still works and the DVR works with a stereo, I'm assuming it's the TV. The TV's nothing special (20" JVC flat-screen CRT) but it is the newest in the house (besides the 56" DLP) at 5 years old. Any ideas?
