problems with new hardware

hey guys, im wondering if anyone can help me.
ive recently bought a new hard drive & cachcard ready to drop straight in.

i cant connect to the tivo from pc in ms-dos, it says "could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connection failed"

also when the cachcard is on the loading screen says "writing cachcard" then changes to "verifying cachcard" but then says verifying error then lists this number 3032 524288. i dont actually know if this is a fault mind as it loads past this and the usual tivo functionability is fine.

ps i dont have my own internet access atm so only get online every other day so if i dont reply straight away, i'm not being ignorant :)

What is the ip address of your pc and tivo box?

re the cachecard error I expect it disabling it so it's not offering any benefit...

Both tivo and pc must be on same subnet???
