View Full Version : test call ok but no daily call

not ahving made any changes to my tivo for months I have jsut noticed that the alst successful call was on 01/04. a test call works fine but the daily call goes through its normal process, connects and appears to download for 3 or 4 minutes then stops with the message of either 'call interupted' or 'service unavailable' - I have been trying to get a successful call manually now for 2 days.
the tivo is modded and connects via wireless airnet - the signal is strong and no changes have been made on the router either
also my tclient file shows a size of zero ?
any ideas ?

Not 100% sure if you are using PSTN or wirless / internet to download your epg data?
If by phone, could anything else be using the phone line in the house e.g. sky box ringing out?
If by wireless / internet have you tried reseting your router?

wireless access via wireless router to cable broadband. Yes router reset several times, cable modem reset also. have tried everything i can think of
tclient is zero size when the log rolls over - check otclient
Do you have a telephone cable connected as well as using airnet? I have had update issues for a while & for some reason now require the modem cable as a pre-requisite to network update!

just checked and for some reason without any changes it had a successful call at 10.26 - i just dont understand why after 9 days its suddenly worked without me changing anything or in fact why it stopped working without me changing anything ??

Over the last week I had 3 or 4 failed calls..... all appears OK now.
My Tivo is wired to my network... and nothing had chnaged... so I guess they have had some issues...
