For whatever it's worth, the Comcast rep answering calls concerning the Comcast Tivo software, told me tonight that the software update has been put on hold and will not be pushed into the Boston market for several weeks. She said that Comcast wants to integrate the Tivo update with the iGuide update, so that "more bugs can be fixed" at one time. I mentioned to her that the Tivo update itself has caused lots of problems to our friends outside of Boston, and she said that they were aware of the problems and were "working on them".

In the meantime, my DCH3416 with Tivo software has stopped allowing me to make recordings. I get a strange error message that says that it's an "unknown error" that probably is temporary. It's been 2 weeks. Rebooting doesn't help. My spouse (She Who Must Be Obeyed) has been very upset about this and, of course, blames me for being an unpaid beta tester of the Comcast Tivo. Oh well.
