View Full Version : Secret Talents of the Stars (Spoilers for entire season)

Did anyone watch this last night? It actually was not as bad as it sounds. George Takai singing country was a bit odd but the other three stars did a good job on their secret talents.
The thing that bothered me was that only the East Coast could vote. Also I could not figure out by voting for each how two would come ahead. I would have rather seen all four compete, then vote.

The only reason I would watch would be for George. I love George Takei.
I'll try to remember to watch next week.

This may well be the worst program to ever be shown on network television.

This show had two fairly significant flaws.
First, the voting was done during the show, and they had to stop the voting in time to announce the results. This meant that either (a) they had to allow voting before all of the acts ended, which was a significant disadvantage for whoever went last, or (b) they had to wait until all of the acts had finished before allowing voting, which did not leave much time to vote, especially when you consider the acts were live.
Second, by having voting during a live show, the only way people in the Mountain and Pacific time zones could vote would be to vote before being able to watch the show.
(Okay, three fairly significant flaws:
Third, it wasn't very good.)

I would watch this only if Carrie Underwood wanted to try her hand at porn stardom. :D

This is not the worst TV show there ever was. I actually enjoyed the tap dancing so if it had something decent on it, then it was not the worst there ever was. :)
I love George Takai and it was enbarrassing to watch him. I suspect that the audience dropped off in the Pacific and Mountain timezones when they found out how dumb the voting was. I rarely if ever vote on these things but this was really stupid.
Also what were they going to win?

+1 He just earned even more bonus points with me (and he has a LOT already courtesy of his appearances on the Howard Stern show!).

if starz still shows repeats of bronx bunny you should see him on that show. they have some pretty big names on the show but unfortunately dustin diamond appears one too many times on it as well
That's the real issue.
Do we even know if the fan "voting" counted. I thought George (on HS) said he couldn't reveal what he was paid because then people could figure out how far he got in the competition.
I thought I read the entire competition was already taped.
Third, it wasn't very good.)

Oh really. I guess they get people to go to the web page and that would maybe cause them to commit to watching more shows? Of course this thing died aborning. :)
