NCIS is back and, well, it felt a little "off," like there was a little rust from the writer's strike, but it was still good.

For those of you continually annoyed by the Director, there may be good news. Rumor has it that Lauren Holly is tired of commuting between Chicago and L.A. and will be exiting the show at the end of the year. If so, the process of writing her out began with this episode.

Is it just me, or did Cote de Pablo seem thinner in this episode?

I thought her hair looked different.

I thought her hair looked different.

The first few scenes of the episode she wore it without a ponytail.

Better without the ponytail, IMO.

Who was the actress playing the homicide detective?

That would be Gretchen Egolf, who was very recently on an episode of Medium, and was the wife of the Journeyman.

Tony has good instincts, that most people should see and understand. "Why hit him with a pipe when he has a gun?" He also has the patience to wait to get Ziva back.

That's what I said after the very first scene. I thought she had changed her hair and lost weight. I liked the new look.

I was onto the manufacturer almost immediately, and the overriding the portable camera with a stronger signal was too obvious too. The "crime/mystery" was pretty lame, the only mystery was what Ducky was doing.

Was there ever a resolution to the director's father still being alive? I know that "the frog" was murdered, but what about her father? Have I forgotten, or did they leave that open. I still think that Tony will try to get back together with the doctor in the season finale.

Especially when she was crawling under the desk. :D

I was onto the manufacturer almost immediately (...)Me too, but I figured it was just because his Prison Break role made me think of him as a bad guy...

I too miss Journeyman. It was very well done in my opinion, and not really THAT much like Quantum Leap.

Whoever directed this episode seems to have a bit of a butt fetish....

A nice firm butt is a thing of beauty. :)

A nice firm butt is a thing of beauty. :)

And a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

My man John Keats said that.
