Scheduling sky+ recordings using TIVO?

I don't know whether this question has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer searching the forum.
This might be a stupid question but knowing nothing about Sky+ and Sky HD digiboxes, would it be possible to use Tivo simply as a superior scheduler to invoke the Sky box to record programmes on its own hard drive, but making use of all the TIVO software benefits of SPs, wishlists etc?
