I'm about read to cast my vote for this show "Jumping the Shark" when Angelica Houston joined the cast. Hell, she even left already!

I'm really just not feeling it this season, and I thought the "twist" ending of this episode was way too contrived. Putting aside the fact that it ended up being a guy, you mean to tell me the publisher/owner wouldn't know there was a police investigation going on in his own company? And he suddenly changes his whole M.O. right when he sees the detective in the elevator?

And the "Arquette" sisters part was very anti-climactic. I wish they were given better and more scenes together!

I've never really understood Allison's dreams, other than that they are convenient only as a plot device and to drag out the story. Heaven forbid her first dream gives everything away. Yes, I know, that wouldn't make the show interesting to watch.

I'm also finding the "pretitles sequences" becoming quite pretentious.

My dad watches this show religiously, and he even admitted to me last weekend that they are running out of ideas. "It happens to every show."

Yep.

All of that being said, I'd just like to say that Patricia is still quite gorgeous. (Still meaning after everything I've said ripping on the show, NOT because of her age..since she's only one year older than I am and I'm sure not old yet!!! :) :) )

It was made clear at the beginning that her character had a 6 episode arc.

My gaydar didn't tell me the victims were gay or bisexual. That's what made me give the perpetrator's identity a big roll eyes.

What has happened to Ariel? I don't think she has been on the show for three episodes in a row now. Has she left, been busy, gotten grounded? I always liked the family dynamics, and the oldest sibling is essential. Marie was SO cute: "You look pretty."

i thought ive seen her in the last 3 eps.........she was very involved with the gas-lady and her son at school and with her mom at home, and she was in this ep too iirc, but only briefly (unless ive got my daughters mixed up).

I didn't see Ariel this ep and thought to myself, where's Ariel?

I remember them calling her for breakfast, but they never showed her. In fact, the episode that rickmeoff mentioned where she was featured, seeing her classmate's mother lighting herself on fire, was maybe the last time she has been on the show. That would make three eps in a row without her, but I could be remembering wrong. I also noticed that the supermodel in the bikini was only in the first episode of the second two-part story (Angelica Huston's daughter) and it would have made sense to have her in both parts. Bridgett getting outraged at her father for the swimsuit issue of his sports magazine was very well written and acted. By the way, didn't Angelica Huston's daughter spend a year in Everwood a while back as Hannah?

Do you mean Patricia or Rosanna or both? Patricia stars on Medium every week and is 40. Her older sister Rosanna guest starred on this episode and is 49 . She looks great for 49. (ages based on IMDB)

the "twist" ending wasn't even a surprise and shouldn't have been to Alison. Every time she dreamed of the author, the "soundtrack" was always "A Walk on the Wild Side" which is definitely a gender bender reference.
