View Full Version : Very long wait when starting record

In the last week or so my Comcast Tivo has started going into wait mode for extraordinarily long times when I tell it to record an program I'm watching. Sometimes well over 2 minutes (literally - I've timed it, once it was over 3).
Setting a new season pass is also a very long process, but that's a bit understandable (although also ridiculous).
It's always been dog slow, but this is crazy and seems to be a new behavior.

Its seemed to get slower to me as well. Season passes take forever. I just edited an in-progress recording to pad 30 minutes and while I was waiting, I switched inputs on my TV, went to Tivo central, and did the same setting change on my S2 Tivo. I was done and switched inputs back to ComcastTivo and still waited about a minute!

I consistently see 3 minutes on starting any type of recording.

So am I. It's gotten a LOT worse since the software update. I hope they're working on a fix.

FWIW - I am having the same issue with my Comcast Tivo....very long waits to record shows and set up season passes. This seems to have started last week.

My recording speed has improved greatly over the last 2 days. Now setting a recording is only taking 10 - 20 seconds, instead of 2 - 4 minutes. Hopefully this lasts.
BTW, the software version shown in the settings has not changed.

Yes, mine speeded up too, but I'm having a new problem that season passes don't record new episodes beyond those it gets when the pass is first set up.
What version of the software are you on?
