I have two lifetime SD units (a Sony and a TiVo S2), plus a monthly-plan Humax DRT800. What's the least expensive method of purchasing a TiVoHD and replacing the Humax with it? I've seen the $199 NEA special, but it requires purchase of a 1-year service plan.

The best I can find so far is to buy one from Amazon (~$248). Are there currently any better deals available?

My MSD Humax died. I called TiVo to take it off of my account and cancel the MSD. The agent offered me a TiVo HD @ $199 and transfered the MSD.

That worked most awesomely: I called in and told the CSR that I wanted to remove my Humax. She offered me a TiVo HD for $199, plus I get to keep my $6.99/mo MSD.
