Well I'm happy to say that I had two TiVo HD (one series 3) DVR's connected with all my channels in about an hour yesterday. After reading everything on here I was worried, but the cable rep who showed up got on the phone with the office immediately to make sure the cards were activated immediately.
The only reason I put a success for the most part was because the rep was trying to dissuade me from continuing with the installation as he mentioned I would be losing HD channels beginning May 15th when Cablevision of Long Island goes to SDV. I asked him what channels and he didn't know exactly, but wanted to make sure that it wasn't HBO, etc. It's going to be the Kung Fu HD Channel and things like that which I personally don't care for anyway (although I should get them if I'm paying for them).
It feels really good to have my TiVo back - almost forgot how good it was - miles better than the SA 8300 I have been using for the past 3 years! :)
