View Full Version : Can I watch my series 1 tivo on my PC?

I would like to toss my TV set and connect my Tivo Series 1 (ancient but free, still works great) to my PC. I know it is possible to do this with a video capture card but I wanted to see if any of you guys had any experience with this.

I would figure I would only need a very basic video capture card (no DVR, HD needed) and would be very greatful if anyone could point me in the proper direction.

I have dell inspiron 530.

Good ole BT878 card. You should be able to get one cheap, as DVR type tuner cards are favored. I have been using one (a Hauppauge WinTV-Go) without fail for at least 5 years.

Thanks, I can't seem to find any of these right now, but I will keep looking.
