DVRs Market Share

I'm making a TiVo Marketing campaign for a class, and I am in need to know the main competitor for TiVo and the Market Share it currently has. Does anyone know where I can get that kind of information.

I'm planning to do a pie chart demonstrating TiVo's market share, against many others , but the latest info i manage to find was from 2005.

I'd appreciate the help.

Look for a thread called "best HD DVR" or the like.

At this time, TiVo has no one competitor.

Plural, their primary competitors are the provider DVRs, as a whole, and back there somewhere are 3rd party DVD based recorders, and PC based DVR solutions.

If you want something accurate, you will have to ask more than TiVo users, but the users of the TV services that DVR users subscribe to.

The competitor would be DVRs that are provided by cable and satellite systems.

Motorola and Scientific America are the two largest. I guess you could also count the DVRs satellite companies are providing their customers.

Tivo is really the only DVR that's sold directly to the consumer.

In the competition front, I'll compare it to Direct TV, Dish and OneLink DVRs which are the top 3 broadcasters in PR.
The ones mentioned are not really significant here. Anyway, thanks for the help.

note that was TiVo standalone subs only - it did not include DirectTv powred by TiVo subs.
No idea if they rolled those into DuirectTV sub numbers or not.
