I have been reading alot about lifetime subscriptions on here so excuse this message if its a repeat.

I will be activating my TiVo's (Series 3 and 2 TiVo HD's) after the CableCards are installed on Monday. Years ago (more than 5) I had lifetime subscriptions on my DirecTV boxes. I know that the subscriptions will not be transferrable, but will I be able to sign up all 3 for lifetime or is TiVo going to make me do the first on a prepaid/monthly and the rest I could do Lifetime subscriptions? Any help on not having to do this in a backwards way would be very helpful - thanks!

You want to activate your TiVo at least 2 days before you get cable cards installed. You need updates that your TiVo did not ship with.

If you are unable to purchase the lifetime service for yourself you can find it on Ebay for a reasonable price ($422.99) which is TiVo's charge of $399 plus Ebay and Paypal processing fees and no mark up.

After you have the first one activated with lifetime service you will be able to activate the additional 2 units yourself under the current promotion they have going.
