Can I hook up a computer or camera to capture firewire out on these boxes?
There are some local access television shows that I want to capture..
Its the one real reason that I may switch to straight TIVO.. the lack of tivo2go.

May I ask why you want to use firewire? Why don't you use the rca outputs if the device you are capturig can use them?

I didn't know the rca's were there.. that may work to get it to a vcr, and then I can input to the computer from there.
The goal is to get some clips from school committee and board of selectmen meetings to use on a local community blog.
Firewire in would save the first step of digitizing, then I just recode to quicktime/flash to put on the blog (this has nothing to do with any sort of copyrighted properties.. these are public, open meetings).

I understand, it would be easier with the rca cables straight to the computer if that can be done. Are the recordings on a digital channel?
