I just activated PGP whole disk encryption on my laptop. Once I rebooted, the Tivo desktop server wouldn't start. The solution was fairly simple - I just had to reenter the Media Access Key.
I just updated the PGP Desktop product, and once again, I got errors about the server not starting. What was strange is that while the server wasn't running, I was able to download programs from my TIVO (when I first had the problem the desktop couldn't connect at all). So, it appears it was running even though it said it wasn't.
After downloading a program, I reentered the key, and the server status changed to running.
I've also asked PGP about this, through a back door into support I have (my husband works there), but I don't know if the problem is at the PGP end or the TIVO end.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
