The other day Tivo's CEO said that Comcast was pleased with the uptake rate on the soft Tivo option so far. But this forum seems to be about as dead as it can get. So how many people have actually gotten the soft Tivo upgrade? dozens, hundreds, thousands?

Lot's of info about the Comcast TiVo option over at avsforum.com.

The latter pages have info since the rollout.
Personally, after reading much of that, I bought a TiVo S3 and ended up dumping Comcast and going OTA with a Netflix subscription.

A lot of dissapointment is all I've been seeing for months. I tried it myself and it did work well until I got the crazy 8's and gave up on it until they work out the bugs. Longtime posters that were waiting for the TiVo on Comcast implementation, I think have gone with the TiVo HD and Lifetime at around $650-$700. The rest of Comcast's TiVo customers don't post here. Hard to know how it's really going overall except that Comcast didn't give anybody on the fence reason to wait any longer to buy a TiVo HD. I live in MA and do see the large TiVo guy decals on the front entrance to Comcast offices. It looks and sounds good, but show us the happy Comcast TiVo customers.
