I have a hacked HDVR2 with 6.2a and zipper. The system uses static IP and I was able to telnet/ftp/tytools wirelessly to the system without any problem.

Recently I upgraded my router from DI 614+ (rev B) to Linksys WRT54G, now I can not connect to the HDVR2 anymore. I have setup the exact router IP address, make sure they are on the same subnet, same SSID, no WEP, wireless b only, ...but still no luck. All my other PC's/laptops connect fine to the new router, either wired or wireless.

Does anyone has any clue how to get the Directivo HDVR2 connected to the new router? I have read some threads mentioning the router FSID needs to be set on the wireless adaptor...not quite understand why, but is that related?

Thanks a lot!

did you try a reboot?

You have to change the IP address of either.

Unless you set it up differently, D-links typically use 192.168.0.x, and Linksys uses 192.168.1.x. default subnets.

The TiVo is probably set for the default D-link IP range, which will fail to communicate on the default Linksys network.

Yes, I have rebooted and double checked the subnet settings, and they are 192.168.0.xxx.

It turned out that the SSID was slightly different: "Default" and "default" on the routers. Once this is corrected on the Router, I have the network connections again!

Thanks

Change the SSID then. "default" is a bad one to have, security wise.
