Signal dims / pulses HD series 3

I just bought a series 3 HD box and had TW cable come put a multi-stream cable card in it. I have noticed on many channels that the screen seems to intermittently dim as if you were turning the brightness down and up. At first I thought it might be my new Sharp Aquos TV, but in recorded programs, it happens in the same place during playback so it has in the signal -- ie the "dimming" moments are in the recording.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm wondering if it's the TiVo or cable.

I figured it out! It was the TV's (Sharp Aquos) "Auto Contrast" setting trying to make dark scenes darker but the response is not fast enough or intelligent enough to be effective. It just looks like your TV is experiencing a brown out. I'm so relieved. I thought I had a bigger problem on my hands.
