Hi. Does anyone know of a Freeview receiver (No DVD recorder or internal hard drive required) that has HD(MI) upscale and has the all important RF output (rather than loop through) enabling it to be hooked up to a TiVo. I've searched the net but not had any luck at all.

Many thanks.

Quite low price now so why not an HDMI for direct connection to TV and your current freeview box for Tivo?

This will give you more channels to watch as Tivo can record while you watch in real-time the HDMI Freeview box.

Very true. I had thought of that. My TV has DVB built in but I can live with watching Freeview through a box if the picture is better. It's just a matter of finding another electric socket behind the TV. I'm using 10 already!

If your TV has FreeView built in, it's unlikely that you'll get a better picture from an external box. Unless you have a really *really* bad TV.

ISTR that some Freeview TVs don't have the worlds best internal connections. Certainly some Sony Freeview LCDs look decidedly "soft" via their internal Freeview receivers, yet external HDMI sources (DSat / DTT via PC or external streamer) look a lot sharper. I suspect that a not-very-good DVB-T receiver has been grafted on? (Not a composite interconnect though - no cross-colour/luma artefacts)
