View Full Version : Problem With Tivo Not Matching Correct Channel Lineup

Sorry, I know I posted about this problem before - quite a while ago tho - but I can't remember what the solution if any was.

Here's what the problem is - I wanted to record something on Virgin 1 which I can watch on my STB. However Tivo doesn't seem to recognise this channel as part of my lineup.

Now that I think about it, I seem to recall someone suggested the thing to do is to rescan the channels on the STB. Have I remembered correctly?

Also - I'm sure I remember someone on this forum saying it's possible to get these annoying US ads to disappear from the forum. How do I do that? They just make me annoyed and depressed every time I see anything about new TIvos...

Sounds right to me.

I think FireFox has an ad-blocker but I use IE7 'cos they don't bother me.

I use http://www.kaspersky.com/kaspersky_internet_security which includes advert blocking

The only adds I get on this forum are two small ones for 9th tee & Join TC club

Not being able to eliminate an ad for TC Club would be extremely annoying to rather a large percentage of non TC Club joining forum members.:mad::down:

A combo of Adblock Plus and Remove It permanantly get rid of all.

As for the original Q; if TiVo doesn't recognise the channel, check that it's ticked in Channels I Receive. If it's not in CIR, re-run Guided Setup.

Rescanning your STB will make do difference to TiVo.
