mp3 distortion sharing from Mac Leopard Machine

So I am hoping for some suggestions on how I can solve a small issue. I am sharing my iTunes music with TiVo HD and when I play some songs, I hear a streamed distortion for about 3 seconds, sometimes very loud, louder than the actual song, ad then the song starts playing. This happens at the start of every song from that point on. Songs play normally without distortion from my iTunes, it's just the TiVo interface that does that. Now I am running OS X Leopard 10.5.2 and have enabled my Firewall to allow incoming connections from TiVo Desktop and TiVo Transfers. Is anyone experiencing this?

I'm having the same problem. I never had this problem with my old iMac using Tiger. Has anyone found a solution?

I'm guessing that these MP3's have large ID3v2 tags (with album art) at the start, and this is being passed through, and the TiVo is attempting to interpret it as audio data.

None of the music I am trying to play has album art associated with it. Everything worked fine in Tiger. I did, however, change my roter to a Time Capsule. Do you think that could be a cause?

Yup, this gets my vote. I was able to take a song that played fine and create the distortion by adding several images to the cover art. Likewise, I was able to remove the distortion from a song by removing the cover art.

So, why is Tivo reading the ID3v2 tag as audio data? Shouldn't do that.

I have the same problem. Almost all of my mp3 songs have embedded album art. Can someone from TiVo tell us how to fix this? I have this problem no matter what application I use to stream music to my TiVo.

Win7 PC Streaming to Series 3. I use TiVo's music, Harmonium and Galleon.
