About half way through wastching a Top Gear episode last night, with no warning the "Welcome Powering Up" gray screen popped up and the HR10-250 rebooted. This was the first and only reboot since the software update to f.
Nothing was recording at the time so I lost nothing. After the reboot sequence all seems fine. I hope is was truly a random event.

I've had a few. Strangly enough it seems to only happen exactly when a program is starting to record. I had my first reboot last night. I also am getting frequent stopples in all programming.

I've had five lockups and one reboot. The reboot happened after an extended lockup. The unit got progressively slower until it just froze up. During the period where the unit slowed down, it exhibted symptoms such as invalid access card, or activate your dvr, and lost signal on ________. Two of the lockups the unit became unresponsive and the HDMI signal was lost. A few times when the unit was getting very slow, the yellow light came on and stayed on until a reboot. I think it may be related to signal quality. I was watching a recroded show that i know was good and it started stuttering badly. I thought here we go again. Pressed livetv and there was not signal on either tuner. The stuttering went away as soon as I repositioned the satellite dish.
I've been too lazy to upgrade back to 3.1.5f. maybe 6.3z is around the corner to fix the problems?

Both of my HR10-250 are on 3.1.5f and I get reboots and lockups.

I have the DTV protection plan. They swapped out my hr10-250 for a hr20-100. They tried to tell me that the new box would be leased and I'd have to increase my commitment another 2 years. After some bickering I got them to agree the new box would be owned and I will not be extending my commitment. I think now that my protection plan has paid off I might cancel it.
