Hello everyone, I'm hoping that some knowledgable folks here can help me with this problem...
I have a Series 1 Phillips PTV300 with lifetime subscription and software 3.0. Last week, my 80GB hard disk crashed and I have since replaced it with a new drive and my backup image. Everything else works fine; I'm able to pause, rewind, record, etc. I have used the modem to rerun guided setup and it completed fine. My problem is that I cannot complete a daily call using the installed Turbonet card. I have used the Turbonet card fine for almost 2 yrs now without problem, since there are no local call numbers for me.
I am able to telnet into my tivo fine. I can access TivoWeb, the hard disk, etc. I'm certain there is no problem with my router as well because I can from telnet on tivo ping not only any computer on my local network, but also google, yahoo, and TiVo's guide server (204.176.49.2 I believe). I've tried using the boot cd to reinstall the drivers, changed from static ip/gateway to dhcp and back, turned off all firewalls, and even hooked the TiVo directly to cable modem, Clear and Delete everything....and nothing works. Dialing prefix is set to ,#401 and I've rebooted more times than I can count. Does anyone have any other ideas as to what the problem could be or suggestions to try? I'm completely stumped on this one. Much obliged!
