Is there a way to limit a wishlist to a single channel or have a seasonpass on a genre?
I'd like to record a genre of shows from a single channel.
Can this be done? if so how?

Funny thing is that the HR20/21 receivers are getting this feature and is being tested on the current CE cycle for the HR20. LOT of search enhancements coming on that platform.

Nope. By design, WL's look across all channels; SP's are locked to a specific channel.

Then can a SP be limited to a genre?

How would that work? Season Passes are tied to the database program ID for a particular program as well as the channel ID. How are you going to have a show with the same program ID but varying genres? This sounds like a problem where the guide data is insufficient to distinguish between multiple versions of a program with the same name.
