TNT has begun production on the third installment of its "Librarian" franchise

http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-tntthirdlibrarianmovie,0,4957020.story

If I recall the last one. It was not as fun as the first one and the ending was cheesy with that Volcano/Lava bit.

Let's hope it improves, perhaps with more Newhart goodness.

Sheesh... horrible "movies"...

I enjoy them. Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin are funny. Noah Wyle is out of his element and that makes for lots of adventurous comic relief.

My kids liked the first one. The second blew more than a crack whore. I hope they redeem themselves.

They need to bring the girl back from the first movie.

I'm in wholehearted agreement with that !

The first one was cute. The second, not so much.

Oh Hell! at least they were fun to watch, I'm not going to complain.

Looks like there'll be a different female lead each time, which could be good too. Better chance of getting another one more like #1 and less like #2.

The time is almost here! The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice will premier on 12/7 at 8 pm on TNT.

I agree with other posters. I really enjoyed the first, the second one not so much, but hope springs eternal, so I'm excited to see the new installment.

Also, I assume this one will be in HD goodness, so big bonus there.

For those that may have missed the previous two episodes and would like to catch up, the first movie will be shown on that same day at 4, and the second at 6.

I wonder if Riker is directing again?

Riker?

IMDB says that the first one was directed by Peter Winther. The second and third by Johnathan Frakes.

Some people confuse actors with the character they play. Modern education, bleh.

I liked Simone better than the last girl, but I was hoping that her end wouldn't be quite so final. The girlfriend at the beginning was so obviously the wrong girl, it was funny.

I liked that they teased us with more of Judson's history without giving away too much. I knew there was more to him and I'm glad they are hinting at a back story. While this one ended with a suggestion of more possible movies, I hope they have a better story if they come back.

 They repeat each episode about 20 times over several days. I'm sure you can find it on somewhere.

This was my least favorite of the three. I preferred Gabrielle Anwar to this episode's love interest. I'm tired of vampires but I did find it interesting that Judas was the original vampire in this story. I wonder what the Naked Archeologist has to say about that.

The idea of Judas as a vampire, or root thereof has been around awhile and Dracula 2000 used the theory.

Dude, this thread isn't listed as episode specific or with a spoiler tag. Please spoilerize your post so others don't end up having the end told to them early.

I'll ditto that.

This is the second time I've seen the Judas as the original vampire myth in a movie, so the concept was not new to me.

Ah, Langree, yes, D2000 that was it...

Speaking of Gabrielle Anwar, when is the next season of Burn Notice supposed to start? ;)

Since both of these series are on USA, you'd think they could get her back for a Librarian movie, but nooo...

As for those looking for more episodes of this....

all the trailers I've seen for this indicate quite clearly that this is the final chapter

It's not masterpiece theatre. It know it isn't masterpiece theatre. It's supposed to be fun fish-out-of-water adventure.

I wish Noah Wyle the best. Hope he can find a new show after this.

The first one was. The second one almost was.

This one, not even close. Not a faint glimmer of fun, at least in the first 15 minutes or so. Just a huge abundance of, well, whatever the exact opposite of fun is.

I enjoyed it. It was ok for TNT made for tv movie.

It's just a B-Movie version of indiana jones...still fun to watch...

I really liked this. I recorded all three of the movies Sunday night. It's been a while since I have seen them, so I might watch them this weekend...at least the first one.

I did like this one though. I was a little iffy about the New Orleans storyline. I think the special effects were pretty great, too, for a made for TV movie.

Are these movies available on DVD??? /me goes to Amazon to check...

Yep, I really can't wait to see the Burn Notice start back up again on the 22nd. Gabrielle Anwar is so delightfully homicidally crazy in it.

I think the Librarian needs to head over to Shreveport and Bon Temps, Louisiana. Meet some more nice vampires there. :D
