Hi all,

I have a Samsung SIR-S4080R (not connected to satellite) that I've applied The Zipper to. It's been running for around a month now and generally works well. We use it for watching content that I have on my computers using TiVoServer.

At first, I thought my Speedstream SS-1001 adapter was flakey because I had a difficult time getting it running when I first Zippered. The thing is, Once it gets running, it will work for a few days just fine.
I just noticed a few minutes ago that I have lost contact with the Samsung again. What I'll do is reach behind and unplug the Speedstream SS-1001 from the TiVo and then plug it in again.
A minute later, everything will be fine again and it will last for a few days or so.

Is this normal? I wouldn't think so, but I thought I'd ask before shelling out $ for a faster USB adapter that would end up doing the same thing.

The Speedstream SS-1001 is USB 1.x which is still faster in transferring a show than watching a show. If others are having similar issues, I probably won't replace it for now.

If it's not normal, does anyone have any ideas as to why it's occurring? (Maybe losing supply voltage?, Not fully supported by drivers?, etc.)

Thanks for any input!
