H10-250 .. never a problem for 2+ years (maybe Fifi did something?) ... suddenly had a solid gray screen on only 1 tuner. Could not reboot or check xponders because it was recording (perfectly fine) on the other tuner. Checked all channels (OTA & SAT) they were all gray on the one tuner. No messages (no SFS), nothing. All my other (1 more HR10-250 & 1 HR20-700) DVR's were fine with 90+ signal on all xponders on all sats on both tuners.

Then suddenly after about 2 hrs the other tuner came back and started recording another show (it was 9:10PM because it started recording 10 minutes into The Apprentice) and it's been fine so far.

Any ideas?

How are you connected to your TV?

Maybe it was an HDMI/DVI handshake issue.

Did the program record, or was it blank screened as well?

OTA & SAT use physically different tuners...
So maybe it was a decoding (for video display) issue.

Didn't record - it actually started late when the picture returned on it's own. Very weird. HDMI. First problem ever with the HR10 (except the rare reboot). I checked all channels on the 1 tuner and they were all gray (OTA and SAT).

It gave me an excuse to upgrade to 6.3f .... I slicered it, seems to be fine now. Maybe FiFi test was some sort of worm. :D One day soon I'll have the nerve to move my HR20 up to my L/R TV and just join the real world. I still don't have full confidence in it so I'm stalling.
