I think you're on to something there. Asia'h and Syesha are similar singers with similar styles. They likely split the vote for their styles, while Kristy and Amanda had their genres to themselves.

I thought it was quite over done how they kept showing Ramiele (sp?) crying after Danny was voted off. She doesnt have to worry long though, she'll be quick to follow. She isnt bad but she isnt near as good as most of the girls who are left.

They did a poor job of having both Kristy and Asi'ah left at the end. Talk about no suspense, there was no way Kristy was going home. They should have left Amanda with Asi'ah, then you would atleast be like "I wonder which will be going???". I guess they were trying to make people believe Kristy actually might be going home tonight. Come on AI, we are smarter than that!!!

My bottom 3 picks for the women were Asia'h, Kady, and Amanda. Since two of those were eliminated, I'm pretty happy with the results.

And I'm also glad that huge crybaby Danny is out of there. He wasn't necessarily in the bottom 2 singingwise, but it's annoying to see him cry every week. The other guy that went also seemed unmasculine as well, considering that he chose Wham as the group to sing to. I wasn't too surprised to see him go.

However, last week I was suprememly dissapointed with the women they let go. Didn't Kady sing "Magic Man" that week? It was horribly off key (She wasn't hitting the notes right), and yet she survived against much better women who were let go.

Assuming they haven't changed it from past years, only the final 10 are guaranteed spots in the national tour. It's usually advertised as "top ten plus others", although I don't think the first two eliminated from the final 12 have ever been part of the tour (at least on any sort of "national" level - maybe they invite one of them to perform on the stop near their hometown).

I seem to recall quite a commotion, and any number of online petitions to expand the tour to the top 12, last year when the first two eliminated were considered to be better than some of the remaining ten (the problem is, the viewers vote for the best singers, so most people do not necessarily believe #10 is better than #11 or #12 - just that, in theory, more thought #10 was the best singer than thought #11 or #12 was).

I think she is just outside her "comfort zone". Singing full time and as a career isn't for everyone, even if they thought so at first.

I'm trying to remember (and it really wasn't that long ago), but two or three eliminations ago when she was one of the last two (maybe with Alexandrea?), she seemed resigned that she was going home, then that didn't happen. She's seemed kind of blase since then.

I'm looking forward to next week - Amanda gets eliminated then we see looks of shock, doubt, disbelief, disappointment, sorrow - making up for everything we haven't seen up till now. :)

he hung out with the girls, and became BFF with them... so he was emotionally attached to all of them. when guys got kicked out, he didn't have as strong reactions as with the girls.

We found out Danny attended Sierra (Continuation) High School in Azusa, Calif., a school dedicated to “at-risk” kids.

The crowd at the school? According to Sierra High’s website, students are “significantly behind in credits — and at risk of not graduating — who want a second chance to succeed and achieve a high school diploma.”

Tonight is a two-hour show starting at 8:00pm.

I was wondering how they were going to cut two minutes out of local affiliate time. They can't. They're changing tomorrow, which starts at 9.

They have an 8-10 p.m. window with the affiliates. With rare exception (like the Idol finale and other big live broadcasts where they clear it with the affiliates in advance), they can't start shows early that are scheduled to start at 8, and they can't end shows late that are scheduled to end at 10. If they screw with the schedule, it's by changing start and end times within 8p-10p. If they end past 10, they run the risk of the affiliate cutting to local news.

(BTW, TiVoJerry is wrong. The times he posted are EDT, not EST. ;)).

I forced mine to do an update a while ago and now it shows tomorrow night's show coming on two minutes early.
