Is there anyway to reinstall the info to the drive? It seems the drive is otherwise working perfectly.

It depends what happened. If it can boot to a point, a Kickstart code may help. If not, you will have to apply an image to the drive, using your PC, imaging software, and an image.

You could use InstantCake (http://www.dvrupgrade.com/dvr/stores/1/instantcake.cfm) to re-image the drive.
What's the exact problem?

Apparently InstantCake does not sell their CD's outside of the US. So I'm stuck there.
According to MFS the drive is not a tivo drive(?). Apparently the external drive overheated, went FUBAR, I tried divorcing the drives and then that made the internal drive die.

The folks that sell Instantcake will sell their downloadable products to Canadians, at least. I bought the PTV Enhancement CD, using PayPal.

They don't seem to have a downloadable image for the S3.

Hmm, it's telling me that it doesn't have the Tivo Service Number.

If you are still having a problem with that please drop me another PM with more details. Meanwhile, try Clear and Delete Everything. Do you really have a Series 3, or do you have a Tivo HD? If you got the wrong image, that would explain a lot.
