What type of tivo? What operating system on the computer? Do you want to just watch it or?

I dont have Tivo YET so just let me know what all models or w/e have this funtion available. Operating system for the computer would be Windows XP. Yes just store like a football game, family guy episodes, and just little tidbits like that just so the Tivo doesnt get all cluttered or all stored up.

You can connect the Tivo to your home network and then download shows from the Tivo to your computer for viewing, storage, make DVDs, etc. Of course copyright issues can interfere with doing this for some shows.

So is there any specific model of Tivo I need to get to do this or do pretty much all the newer ones have this funtion?

All Series 2 Standalone and Series 3/TiVo support TiVoToGo (Copy Protection Allowing).

How can you find out if you have a "Series 2"?

Let's make this as simple as possible: ANY NEW Tivo that you can buy will support it.

You have a Series 2 Standalone if it has A/V inputs and USB ports. A Series 3/TiVo HD has not A/V input, but has separate cable/antenna inputs and cablecard slots.
