TIVOING Cablevision On Demand problems

When my Series 2 single tuner TIVO was connected to the main digital IO system in the living room, I would TIVO On Demand with no problem. Since I have replaced it with a Series 2 DT I get very severe tiling and freezing when I attempt to TIVO On Demand. Note: the tiling and freezing is on the incoming signal. I can watch On Demand on another box where TIVO isn't connected with no problem. Has anyone else had similar problems?

If you connect a TV in place of the TiVo, do you still see the "tiling"?

Assuming your signal source is OK (ie the previous test shows a normal picture), you may have a marginal signal and an RF amplifier may be needed.

Since you recently went from 1 split to 2 I'd agree that maybe it's a low signal issue or perhaps your splitter isn't two-way. (but then you'd get no picture at all)
