My jaw hurts from dropping so much during this episode, and I don't mean that in a good way.
I'm sort of hoping Adele succeeds in stealing Jenny's identity and bumps Jenny and Niki off, so that we can have at least one competent villain on this show to root for.
Debbie Denbo deserves an elevator-shaft death for that absurd sit-down. No, scratch that. The writers who came up with that scene deserve to die.
Did Alice actually get the job on The Look?
Am I the only one who thinks sweaty sex ought to be the last thing on someone's mind when there's a broiling heat wave and there's no air conditioning and you're already overheated?
Could they make it any more obvious that Molly is slumming with Shane?
I've forgotten -- is Max still a woman physiologically? Which would make that gay male sex scene actually a heterosexual male-female sex scene? Come to think of it, is that a male or female actor portraying Max?
/Vinnie Barbarino/ I'm so confuuuused. /Vinnie Barbarino/

well as i said last week i keep watching but the writing keeps getting worse...
the character max is played by a woman (hats off to her that you would even ask) - - - so that was in fact a gay man having straight sex with a transgender woman (who used to be a lesbian) and you are right that would just make it plain old hetero sex...
not too mention most L Word episodes are about 45 minutes and this one was 57 - i thought it was never going to end

I still have this in my NPL to watch, but I can't see how that can possibly be a bad thing!!! :D

Because it was during a blackout? Ear candy, but very little otherwise...

great way to start a post :D

agreed, i was hoping she'd kill Nikki and then Jenny that night after having sex with Nikki (where are the writer applications :))

that was really bad wasn't it?
Did Alice actually get the job on The Look?
yes
Am I the only one who thinks sweaty sex ought to be the last thing on someone's mind when there's a broiling heat wave and there's no air conditioning and you're already overheated?
yes ;)

nope, maybe they should add a t-shirt she can wear that sez "slumming!"

someone answered these above, max is a woman physically and they had 'normal' hetero sex (and the actress that plays max is a gal :))
DANIELA SEA (Max Sweeney) broke into film with a supporting role in John Cameron Mitchell's "Shortbus," as well as appearing in several music videos that include Bright Eyes' "First Day of My Life" and Scissor Sisters' "Filthy Gorgeous." Born in Los Angeles, Sea grew up on the shores of Malibu where she started surfing at the age of six and was winning competitions by the time she was thirteen. Before deciding to explore acting, Sea traveled extensively throughout Western and Eastern Europe, culminating with an 18-month trek on foot — walking and hitchhiking from Poland into the hills of India. Sea currently resides in New York City and is writing an original screenplay and working collaboratively on the performance, film and music project, "The Exciting Conclusion".

I don't believe Alice has been given the job on The Look - they haven't said she hasn't gotten it either - - -
she made an appearance as a guest host where the other hosts told her in order to get the job they were expecting her to out celebrities...

i thought it was implied that by doing so on that episode, she 'locked' down the job...

I thought the same thing. The scene with Max and the interpreter, did the interpreter know before that Max was still a woman? If not, that woulda been kinda like a backwards Crying Game.
