USB harddrive connect directly to Series 3?

I have a Series 3 DT. Is it possible to connect a USB hard drive directly to the Tivo and to watch home movies? I can do the xfr via wireless but it's very slow. If this does not, what other faster xfr of video can I do?

Wired or wireless are your two options. If wireless is too slow, might try a wired connection.
