Purging TiVo to Update

Is there anyway you can get your TiVo to update while your not at home? For example If you wanted to schedule something to record at a certain time and you use the online scheduling. But your Tivo has already connected that day is there a way to purge it via internet? To get the new info?

If you are connected by broadband, the Tivo can "phone home" more than once a day (more like once every couple hours or so).

If you are connected by phone line, there isn't a way to set the Tivo to call home more often by itself. You need to manually do it.

For example If you wanted to schedule something to record at a certain time and you use the online scheduling.If broadband connected, your TiVo checks for remote scheduling requests every 15 minutes. This is separate from the once-a-day call for guide information. In fact, I think they will be changing it to use an Instant Messaging protocol so the delay won't even be that long. This is so that TiVoCast downloads such as Unbox will be more responsive.
