View Full Version : Need button sequence to reboot HR10-250 remotely via slingbox

I'm on vacation and am getting a bad video stream on my slingbox. The audio is coming in fine and this was working before I left. I've also tried cycling through the HR10-250 resolution settings with the 'up' command (no changes).

I think I may only need to reboot my HR10-250 but without video I can't see what I'm doing.

Can someone send me the button sequences to send in order to restart the DirecTiVo HR10-250 (s/w ver=6e), starting at Tivo Central?

I assume that you are aware that the first press of the up arrow simply identifies the current resolution. Another press (before timeout from the first press) will change it.

Just thought I would mention this just in case.

From Tivo Central (press up until it boings to be sure you are at the top)

Down
Select
At this point you may be anywhere in the menu, so hit down until it boings
Select
To be safe press up until it boings (that's restart recorder)
Select
Thumbs down
Thumbs down
Thumbs down
Enter

You could always telnet into the tivo and type reboot? :)

Glad it worked.

Can you describe how satisfied you are with the HD DirecTiVo and Slingbox combination? I have been considering the same thing.

I'm using a Slingbox on my SD DirecTiVo and am very happy. Then again having FIOS and being able to pump out T1 speeds out of my house helps too :D

I wanted to chime in with my opinion of Slingbox --- it is sensational! I have the PRO model of Slingbox and use it to watch my directv hd and sd dvrs at work and it is just like I am home sitting on the sofa. I am able to control both the hr10-250 and the hr20.

I believe that having FIOS as my ISP is helpful with the upload speeds, but I have seen Slingbox with DSL and it looks pretty darn good also.

Love my Slingbox!!!! :)

I just installed my Slingbox pro on a HR10-250 and all works great except I still can't find an IR code that works. I've tried both IR emitters and this morning I put both emitters side by side but still nothing works. I tried using all the standard setups and also v0618, s1142, s1378, and s1442. I am using software version 1.5.0.325
