I'm still using version 2.2. What is the advantage of upgrading. I always hesitate when everthing is working fine as it is.

I imagine they mean Tivo Desktop software.
Didn't 2.3 add in MRV functionality and Tivo-to-go?
2.4 added HD Photograph support for S3 Tivos, and with Plus the ability to transcode divx and xvid files on the S2.
2.5 added Windows Vista compatibility

2.3 introduced auto-transfers and the original transcoding feature for iPods, Treo, PSP, etc.

I'm still using 2.2 myself. I guess I didn't upgrade because I don't need all that extra stuff. :)

Yup. If it ain't broke, don't try fixing it. :D

Nope. Had to be at least 2.2 as I have MRV and TTG functionality.

I think it was 2.0 that introduced TTG, wasn't it? MRV is totally separate.

I don't feel mine has ever been as nice as when it was at version 2.3. It's been nothing but trouble since.

If v2.2 of TiVo Desktop is working for you and you don't need the other options listed above (or on the TiVo web site) (http://www.tivo.com/mytivo/domore/tivotogo/index.html), I'd stick with what you have. v2.6 is due for release next month (March). Several current bugs are supposed to be fixed and other features added. Have a look at it then and see if it makes sense to upgrade.
