"The DVR has detected a serious problem and is now attempting to repair it, do not switch off your DVR for up to 3 hours until it's done. If you have a plasma tV you may want to switch it off if you're worried about burning an image into your screen...."

Or something like that- I've now gotten that message twice now in about a week. It seems to freeze up right before it happens, no function on the remote. One time I was channel surfing, another time I was going down the "Now Playing" list, and it happened after I selected a program off the list to play it...and WHAM...the TiVO shuts off and powers back up...then, after the Tivo normal power-up screen, I get a blue screen that has something like the above message in quotes...

I'm an "early adopter" of the S3- and one of the Lucky 200- am I screwed? Should I never buy TiVO again???? Is this a hardware or software issue?

Thanks,
Robert

I believe I read that when that happens Tivo is relocating data onto different areas of the hard drive due to bad data sectors on the drive.
